SPIPA was established by the Government of Gujarat in 1962 as the apex Training Institution of the state. The Institute was renamed as Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration in 1974. It became on autonomous body (registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860) in October 2004, so as to gain that essential flexibility in fulfilling its role and meeting the expectations of the State Government.

➠ ઉમેદવારે સ્નાતક(Graduate) કરેલું હોવું જરૂરી છે.

Age Limit :
➠ ઓછા ૨૦ વર્ષ અને વધુમાં વધુ ર૮ વર્ષ સુધી (તા.૦૧/૦૮/૨૦૨૧ ની સ્થિતિએ)➠ સામાન્ય વર્ગ (General Category) અને આર્થિક રીતે નબળા ઉમેદવારોને ઉપલી વયમર્યાદામાં છુટછાટ મળવાપાત્ર થશે નહીં.
➠ સામાજીક અને શૈક્ષણિક પછાતવર્ગ (SEBC) ના ઉમેદવારોને ઉપલી વયમર્યાદામાં વધુ ત્રણ વર્ષની છુટછાટ મળવાપાત્ર થશે.
➠ અનુસૂચિત જાતિ (SC) અને અનુસૂચિત જનજાતિ (ST) ના ઉમેદવારોને ઉપલી વયમર્યાદામાં વધુ પાંચ વર્ષની છુટછાટ મળવાપાત્ર થશે.
➠ માજી સૈનિક ઉમેદવારોને ઉપલી વયમર્યાદામા મળવાપાત્ર છૂટછાટ ઉપરાંત વધુમા વધુ પાંચ વર્ષની છુટછાટ મળવાપાત્ર થશે.
➠ અંધ ઉમેદવાર અને શારીરિક વિકલાંગ ઉમેદવારોને ઉપલી વયમર્યાદામાં વઘુમાં વઘુ દસ વર્ષની છુટછાટ મળવાપાત્ર થશે.
